<strong>1984</strong> - WAHL recognized the desire for well kept facial hair and created the trimmer category with the first cordless beard and mustache trimmer. The Groomsman was the world's first battery operated facial hair trimmer, and had the same ground blades that defined WAHL clippers. Fine teeth = fine quality. <strong>1990</strong> - After the success of the Groomsman, WAHL introduced a fully charged line of battery and rechargeable products as personal facial hair styling continued. <strong>1997</strong> - WAHL had a Vision®. An improved trimmer that was equipped with both a light and a rotating head for a different angle of attack with or against the grain. <strong>2001</strong> - WAHL introduced an easier alternative to making trimming a breeze — the Trim 'N Vac®. A beard and mustache trimmer that collects the trimmings using a patented vacuum system. Neat — isn't it? <strong>2004</strong> - Trimming facial hair with WAHL is all about choosing the right tool for each unique facial hair style. WAHL introduced a trimmer designed specifically to make trimming a goatee simple and convenient. <strong>2006</strong> - Facial hair fanatics rejoice as the first Let It Grow Tour hits the road to celebrate those who proudly sport facial hair. The tour helps form the WAHL Nation — a tight knit, tightly trimmed facial hair community. <strong>2009</strong> - WAHL powered by Lithium Ion. It is the first tool to harness the power of lithium ion technology — the most technologically advanced rechargeable battery available. Interchanging heads allow for beard trimming, ear and nose hair detailing, shaving, hair clipping and all other necessary grooming.
